Do you love gardening and being outdoors?

We have an opening for you to join us as a Volunteer Gardener within our community; if the following appeals, we’d love to hear from you.

  • You would love to be part of a community.
  • You have a passion for gardening and being outdoors
  • You have a calm and patient personality.

Who are we looking for?

Are you an enthusiastic gardener? Don't worry you don't have to be an expert, although if you are, you'd be welcome too!

Do you enjoy spending time working on a task alongside people and chatting over a cup of tea?

If the answer is yes to either or both of these questions, you may enjoy volunteering with us.

Not sure? We welcome and encourage visits to the garden and to meet some of our gardening team.

The social garden team love working alongside volunteers in our beautiful organic mixed flower and vegetable garden and they would love to have more people joining them. We have two large greenhouses, raised beds, a more traditional vegetable area, a flower cutting garden, as well as an area for our flock of organic egg laying hens. We also have apple trees and soft fruit bushes.

The Grange Village social garden provides therapeutic and purposeful day opportunity sessions for those in the wider community and those people living within our Camphill Village Trust communities. We have opportunities for volunteers to help with the day-to-day maintenance and gardening tasks. We also have opportunities for those who would like to help support those members of our gardening team who have learning disabilities and other additional needs.

Role requirements:

  • Have current right to work in the UK
  • Able to commute to Grange Village

All our Volunteers require a DBS criminal record check. We will do this for you.
